Mobile Crane Classes
All class fees are per person, include study materials and $100 sitting fee. The class prices do not include I.A.I. fess for written and practical exams. If you take this course and fail your written NCCCO exam we will let you take the next class for FREE.
Mobile Crane Class Descriptions
Requirements: Must be an experienced crane operator
Class Overview: Preparation Class for NCCCO written exam. Review of crane industry regulations specific to mobile crane safety and operation. Class includes the discussion and review of load charts.
Class Limit: 15 people
Day one curriculum:
- ANSI and OSHA regulations
- Application and uses of the ANSI and OSHA regulations
- Signals and specialized operations
- Sample test at end of day or as homework
Day two curriculum:
- Wire rope and machine inspections
- Rigging uses and applications
- Load chart exercises
NCCCO Written Exams: The Saturday following the class
Candidate description: Incidental crane operator with limited crane operation experience and knowledge of the regulations and understanding of load charts.
Class Overview: Preparation Class for NCCCO written exam. Instruction and review of crane industry regulations specific to mobile crane safety and operation. Includes load chart study and exercises.
Class limit: 15 people.
Day one curriculum:
- Load Chart study
- Hands on practice with crane (afternoon)
Day two curriculum:
- ANSI and OSHA regulations.
- Application and uses of the ANSI and OSHA regulations
- Signals and specialized operations
- Sample test at end of day or as homework
Day three curriculum:
- Wire rope and machine inspections
- Rigging uses and applications
- Load charts exercises
- Sample test at end of day
NCCCO Written Exams: The Saturday following the class
Candidate description: No crane operating experience and has no knowledge of the regulations and how load charts work.
Class Overview: Preparation Class for NCCCO written exam. Comprehensive instruction and study of crane industry regulations including hands on crane operations. Curriculum is specific to mobile crane safety and operation. Includes load chart study and exercises.
Class limit: 5 people
Day one curriculum:
- Classroom: Crane nomenclature, descriptions, components, and types.
- Hands on: Go over cranes verify components and types. Includes hands on crane operation.
Day two curriculum:
- Classroom: Cover General Industry Definitions, ANSI and OSHA regulations
- Hands on: Actual set up, level and basic operation of crane
Day three curriculum:
- Classroom: study load charts
- Hands on: Afternnon practice with crane
Day four curriculum:
- Classroom: Cover ANSI and OSHA regulations. Cover application and uses of the ANSI and OSHA regulations. Cover signals and specialized Operations. Sample test at end of day or as homework.
Day five curriculum:
- Classroom: Cover wire rope and machine inspections. Cover rigging uses and applications. Reaffirm load chart deductions.
